16:57 (UTC/GMT +4) Leader of the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu said that he is safe, the country’s TRT Haber TV channel reported live.
Kilicdaroglu added that he and his party delegation were in Turkey’s north-western province of Artvin within the framework of the party’s program.

An armed attack on the convoy of the leader of the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu has occurred in the country’s north-western province of Artvin, the TRT Haber TV channel reported Aug. 25.
The Turkish government has condemned this attack, the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said, adding that every effort is currently being made to identify its perpetrators.
One of Kilicdaroglu’s bodyguards was killed as the result of the attack. After the incident, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Kilicdaroglu.
