Azeri oil fund’s assets up 33 pct in half-year
BAKU – Assets of Azerbaijan’s state oil fund Sofar increased almost $7.6 billion, or 33.3 percent, in the first half of 2011 to reach over $30.3 billion, the fund said.
As of July 1, Sofar’s revenues exceeded $9.9bn, while expenses made up nearly $3.3bn.
The fund holds Azerbaijan’s revenues from oil exports.
