Azeri Socar, engineering group Foster Wheeler set up JV
BAKU – Azerbaijan’s state energy firm Socar and Swiss engineering group Foster Wheeler have agreed to establish a joint venture.
Under a memorandum of understanding signed Tuesday, the JV will be involved in projects on design, engineering and logistics, construction and project management in Azerbaijan and other countries around the world.
Foster Wheeler AG is a global engineering and construction contractor and power equipment supplier, known for delivering high quality, technically advanced, reliable facilities and equipment with a world-class safety record.
According to Socar, the memorandum was signed by the company’s vice-president Tofig Gahramanov and CEO of Foster Wheeler Italiana Marco Moresco.
As part of cooperation between the two companies, Foster Wheeler will hold trainings for Azerbaijani specialists in Italy.
