Azerbaijan rotates peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan

A group of 42 Azerbaijani soldiers, who are serving under the NATO-led "Resolute Support" mission in Afghanistan, has departed to the country on a rotating basis, the defense ministry reported on April 11.
The peacekeeping contingent of the Azerbaijani armed forces has been serving under the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.
The Azerbaijani peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan includes 90 servicemen, two medical officers and two sappers.
