Baku hosted a conference devoted to 3D printing on February 12.

“3D Print Conference. Baku” was part of the 3D printing events held by the company Smile-Expo in Almaty, Kiev and Moscow.

The conference brought together experts, scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs in the advanced technology of three-dimensional printing and scanning of 3D-technology from Russia, Turkey, Thailand and Azerbaijan.

The program of the conference covered one of the most revolutionary inventions of the time - 3D printing, involving speeches on the effectiveness of the application of innovative technologies in business, as well as a master classes.

It included topics such as the role of 3D-printers in the production, usage of 3D-technology to optimize production on the example of the Russian market, usage of 3D-printing for the development of education and children's art movement DIY: 3D-printer as a key tool, 3D-modeling: from the idea to the finished model, three-dimensional scanning in museum practice, science, anthropometry, and others.

The international speakers of the conference were from the U.S., Russia, Turkey, Thailand. Azerbaijan was presented by Farhad Amirbekov (Baku Interbank Currency Exchange) and Emil Hasanly (3D PROJECT).

The speakers gave detailed information about the 3D modeling.

The participated companies were 3D Project (Azerbaijan), Inter-Technics (Azerbaijan), Consistent Software Distribution (Russia), Lenincraft (Russia) and PICASO 3D (Russia).

The visitors had an opportunity to create their own artistic masterpiece with the help of 3D-pen drawing in the space 3Doodler.
