Azerbaijanis doubtful about intl. organizations' decisions

Armenia`s disrespect for the international organizations' documents have created distrust of the country across the globe, said a top Azerbaijani official.
The documents on violations of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity put forward by international organizations have remained ineffectual so far, said Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party.
He made the statement while commenting on an appeal addressed to the European Court of Human Rights in regard to Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev, who were taken captive by Armenians in occupied Kalbajar district.
"A part of Azerbaijan`s territory is under occupation for more than 20 years. But, despite the UN Security Council's four resolutions and relevant resolutions of the international organizations, the Armenian armed forces have not yet withdrawn from the occupied Azerbaijani lands," he said.
This once again demonstrated Armenia’s aggressive position to the world, Ahmadov added.
He said therefore, Azerbaijanis have doubt about fairness of decisions of the international organizations, as well as their fulfillment by Armenia, even though fair decisions are made.
Ahmadov went on to express his hope that the international organizations will further be able to make a fair decision on the criminal case related to the Azerbaijani hostages.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.
The two countries signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the US are currently holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
