Azerbaijan, Philippines discuss ties
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met the newly-appointed ambassador of the Philippines Maria Rowena Mendoza Sanchez to discuss how to develop bilateral relations between the two countries in a variety of fields.
The sides stressed the necessity of expanding a legal framework,
economic and trade relations, as well as the organization of
reciprocal visits, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Sanchez said she would spare no efforts to contribute to developing
bonds between the two countries during her diplomatic tenure.
Earlier, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador. Highlighting friendly relations between the two countries, they noted there were good opportunities for the expansion of relations on various fronts, including political, economic, humanitarian and other spheres.
