Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev paid a visit to Ismayilli and Gabala regions.

First, the head of state laid flowers at the statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Ismayilli city center on September 22.

Head of Ismayilli Region Executive Authority Mirdamad Sadigov informed President Aliyev about the works carried out in the square where the statue is located.

Extensive landscaping works were carried out in the square. All conditions were established for the recreation of local residents and guests.

Later, President Aliyev made a tour of Ismayilli Region Central Hospital after its major overhaul.

Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev informed the head of state about the works done.

Built in 1978, the hospital had never been overhauled. The reconstruction works started in August 2012 and were carried out by Inam YR Inshaat LLC. The area of the hospital was fenced, a green area was created, one water storage established and an electricity substation and a generator installed.

A photo stand highlighting the national leader Heydar Aliyev's and President Ilham Aliyev's attention to the development of the healthcare system in the country was installed in the lobby of the hospital.

The 105-bed hospital occupies a total area of 2.4 hectares. All offices and wards are fitted with necessary equipment. The facility houses ambulatory, functional diagnostics, surgery, therapy, pediatrics, gynecology, intensive care, infectious diseases, traumatology and hemodialysis units.

Physiotherapy, X-ray and fluorography, ultrasound diagnostics, electronic cardiogram and other departments are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment.

After reviewing the hospital, the head of state held a meeting with its staff and representatives of local public.

As part of the visit, President Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of a kindergarten constructed in Ismayilli on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the facility.

The kindergarten can handle up to 200 children. The state-of-the-art facility occupies a total area of 524 square meters. It houses a medical room and a gym fitted with necessary facilities and toys. There is a 120-seat canteen. A bedroom and a playing room have been designed to children's taste.

Special attention was paid to ensuring intellectual, physical and mental development of children, discovering their talents and abilities, and protecting their health. An ornamental fence was installed and playgrounds created in the yard of the kindergarten. The building has cutting-edge infrastructure.

Later, President Aliyev reviewed the building of Ismayilli Region Executive Authority after its major overhaul.

Sadigov informed the head of state about the landscaping and construction works carried out in Ismayilli, and future projects.

The reconstruction of the building started in March 2013 and ended this June. The building was overhauled to the highest standards. The three-storey facility was reconstructed in a modern architectural style.

There is a reception and a waiting room, a kitchen, a dining room, as well as technical rooms. The building houses nearly 40 offices fitted with necessary equipment. A 50-seat conference hall and a 194-seat auditorium are well-suited for hosting different events.

The head of state reviewed an operational control room, which is equipped with advanced information and communication technologies. The control room allows building a direct communication with 10 residential areas in the district, which contributes to the improvement of the quality of public services and the efficient settlement of problems.

As part of the visit, President Aliyev also reviewed Ismayıllı Region Culture Palace after major overhaul.

The facility was reconstructed to meet high-quality standards. A bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev was installed in the lobby of the building.

There are working, rehearsal, director's and make-up rooms. A 270-seat auditorium was created here. It is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems and is also well-suited for hosting various events. There will also be an exhibition gallery here. The palace houses a 60-seat conference hall and a photo lab.

Later, President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the office building of Ismayilli Region branch of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

All rooms in the building are fitted with necessary equipment and information and communication technologies. The administrative building will house district branches of the party's youth and women's organizations. A 50-seat conference hall is well-suited for hosting different events.

Also, President Aliyev paid a visit to a children's park as part of his tour to Ismayilli.

The head of state was informed about major overhaul carried out there.

All conditions were created in the park, which occupies a total area of two hectares. Some green areas were laid, ornamental trees and bushes planted, a pool, a cafe, a 250-seat open-air cinema and two amusement playgrounds created in the park. The complex has become one of the main tourist sites of Ismayilli.

The conditions created in the park demonstrate the scale of the landscaping and construction works carried out in the district in general.

Later, President Aliyev headed to Gabala and inaugurated several facilities in the region.
