Berti Vogts to remain with Azerbaijan
By Nazrin Gadimova
Berti Vogts and Azerbaijan's football federation, the AFFA, have
agreed a contract extension which will see him stay on as
Azerbaijan coach two more years.
The AFFA Executive Committee made the decision at a meeting on
December 18.
Vogts took charge of Azerbaijan's national team in 2008. The
67-year-old German expert has now agreed to extend his deal until
2016, so he will lead the team during the 2016 European
Championship qualifying games.
Also, Mahmud Gurbanov and Aslan Kerimov were appointed as the new
assistants of the coach.
