Azerbaijani MP offers to set up new military medical centres

An offer has been made to change the procedure for medical examination of recruits in Azerbaijan. Essential problems are currently being experienced by the military medical commissions, member of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan and member of the parliamentary committee on security and defence, Zahid Oruc, told Trend news agency on May 16.

"To solve these problems, it is necessary to create a new military hospital or open centres for military and medical examinations within diagnostic centres operating in the regions. These centres should be able conduct a systematic examination of young people of military age who are registered in these regions," the MP said.

It should be noted that in accordance with the laws, the military-medical commissions are organised by the local district executive power. These commissions include doctors and experts in various fields of medicine.

Unlike other countries, a flawless operation of military hospitals is very important for Azerbaijan, Oruc said.
