The official opening ceremony of Maserati Baku Center was held on Monday. With the opening of the new center, Azerbaijan became one of the almost 60 countries where Maserati is represented officially.

During the ceremony, head of Maserati Baku Center Sadig Aliyev and representetives of Crystall Motors, the one and only official distributor of Maserati in Azerbaijan, welcomed journalists and made brief speeches. It was noted that Crystall Motors is the official distributor of Jaguar, Range Rover cars and Ducati motorcycles in Azerbaijan.

Following speeches of the company officials, two Maserati models were presented to media representatives.

The first model was GranCabrio Fendi. Thix ecxlusive car was manufactured in coperation with the well-known Fendi Fashion House. This model was designed exclusively by the head of Fendi Fashion House, Silvia Venturini Fendi.

The other model was GranTurismo Sport -- an elegant and luxurious sports car, which is considered to be the most popular and profitable model of Maserati.Asked about the price, a Crystall Motors official replied that GranTurismo Sport will cost 140,000 manats (about $178,000), which is a reasonable price for such an exclusive car.

Maserati was founded by Italian brothers almost 100 years ago, in 1914. Being an exclusive brand, the company produces only 10,000 cars annually.
