Armenian secret service helped Nazis kill Soviet citizens - official
Armenian secret service cooperated with Nazi Germany to kill citizens of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov has said.
``Archive materials of Azerbaijan`s National Security Ministry indicate that Armenian secret service bodies conspired with the leadership of Nazi Germany with the aim to annihilate the USSR`s population during World War II,`` Hasanov told reporters on Monday.
According to him, on the basis of available archives the Azerbaijani ministry has made a documentary featuring Adolph Hitler`s call to Heinrich Himmler whereby he says ``the Armenian intelligence is very reliable for us, and we need to use it``.
``It [the film] clearly shows that Armenian intelligence bodies are to blame for the mass killings of Soviet population during World War II,`` said Hasanov, who heads Azerbaijan`s state committee for refugees and IDPs.
