Azeri Mujahideen fighter killed in Pakistan – reports
The Azerbaijani embassy in Pakistan is reportedly investigating the death of an Azerbaijani citizen during a military operation against the Mujahideen.
During the operation, which was carried out by the Pakistani military, five Mujahideen fighters were killed, including 23-year-old Khaghani Imamverdiyev, the reports said.
Imamverdiyev, who was accused of evading military service, is said to have been under search by Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies.
According to the embassy, Azerbaijanis fighting in Pakistan enter the country illegally and operate under fake names.
