Azeri FM to attend conference on Afghanistan
bAzerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will attend a conference on Afghanistan in Berlin on December 5, Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev told the Baku-based Trend news agency.
He said that Mammadyarov plans to deliver speech within the conference.
Several bilateral meetings are planned to be held within the conference.
Minister will also attend the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vilnius on December 6-7.
Foreign ministers of the GUAM countries plan to meet on the sidelines of the OSCE ministerial. The GUAM countries' cooperation in such areas as tourism, security and transport will be discussed at the meeting, Abdullayev said.
Bilateral meetings will be held between Azerbaijani foreign minister and foreign ministers of Georgia, Finland, Portugal, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Lithuania and Ireland within the OSCE Ministerial Council.
Mammadyarov will meet with the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement within the ministerial council, Abdullayev said.
