Azerbaijan backs new Iraqi government
BAKU – Azerbaijan supports Iraqi nation and is interested in the extension and strengthening of existing historical and cultural relations, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
"The Republic of Azerbaijan welcomes new government led by Nuri el-Maliki and believes the new Iraqi government will ensure stability and security in the country and serve the prosperity and welfare of the Iraqi people," the statement says.
