Yerevan claims ‘new version’ of peace outline
BAKU - Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian has claimed that
the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents were presented a new
document on settling the Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh conflict during
their meeting in Russia on June 17.
Nalbandian termed the document "a new version" of the Madrid Document, an outline for the conflict settlement submitted by the mediating OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to the sides in November 2007.
The Armenian minister told a news conference with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in Yerevan Wednesday that the mediators are working to arrange a five-sided meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the MG co-chairing countries, planned in Almaty Friday and Saturday.
