Peru not recognizes parliamentary elections in Garabagh
Peru doesn't recognize "parliamentary elections" in
Nagorno Garabagh and supports Azerbaijan's territorial
integrity.
The Permanent Mission of Peru to the United Nations sent a letter to the Azerbaijani representation in the organization. In its letter the Mission expresses its position regarding the "parliamentary elections" held May 23 in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry said.
"Peru supports the principles of state sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders and the inadmissibility of the occupation of territories by force. Peru supports peaceful resolution of Nagorno Garabagh conflict through dialogue, and backs efforts of the UN and OSCE Minsk Group in this direction," the letter says.*
