Azeri, Chinese FMs discuss co-op prospects
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on Monday
received his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi, who made a stopover
in Baku.
During the meeting the sides discussed prospects for the
development of relations between the two countries.
Mammadyarov informed his counterpart about the Armenia-Azerbaijan
Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh conflict, emphasizing that resolving the
dispute is possible only based on the international legal norms and
principles in line with the territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan.
Jiechi said his country has always unequivocally supported
Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Mammadyarov thanked China for its position, noting that Azerbaijan
recognizes Taiwan as an inseparable territory of China.*
