Short break in train traffic at Baku subway
A short interruption in the movement of trains took place in the Baku subway on Wednesday.
At around 2 p.m., a train heading from 28 May station to the Nizami station stood idle in the tunnel for about half an hour. No one was hurt.
According to the subway administration, the interruption was caused by an abrupt reduction of voltage in electricity lines. The reasons for the drop are not elaborated.
The Baku electricity network BakiElektrikShebeke has said in a statement that the power supply problem was due to a technical malfunction in the subway’s lighting system.*
