Azerbaijani MPs will pay a visit to the United States in January to hold meetings in the Congress, Senate and local organizations to discuss issues of concern for Azerbaijan, including its conflict with Armenia and bilateral relations, a senior lawmaker says.
"The delegation consisting of MPs Ganira Pashayeva, Gular Ahmadova, Igbal Agazada and myself will speak about the problems of Azerbaijan, the relations between the two countries during all the meetings. And, certainly, we will learn the positions of U.S. government and non-governmental organizations concerning the Upper Garabagh conflict," said Zahid Oruj, Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament) security and defense committee member.
He added that geopolitical processes in the region will be in the focus of attention as well.
During the ten-day visit, to be paid on the initiative of the Open World Organization, the MPs will visit US media outlets, non-governmental organizations and lobbyist centers.*
