MP: Georgia, Azerbaijan able to resolve any issues in atmosphere of friendship, cooperation

Members of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary working Group met with the delegation of the Georgian parliament, which arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in a tripartite meeting of the foreign relations committees of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, on July 16.
The delegation is headed by Sophie Katsarava, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Parliament of Georgia.
Within the framework of the meeting, Aflatun Amashov, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary Working Group, emphasized the high level of relations within all spheres, noting that, during the period of independence, the ties of friendship and cooperation proceed and develop successfully.
Political relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia are at a high level, cooperation has reached a strategic level, and relations are based on the principles of strong friendship, good neighborliness and mutual respect.
The two countries broadly cooperate in regional energy development, transportation and economic partnership projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), Kars-Tbilisi-Baku railway (BTK), the TRACECA, the BSEC.
Zviad Dzidziguri, Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament and head of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group, stated that inter-parliamentary relations are increasingly intense, that cooperation between the countries is expanding tirelessly, and Georgia is well aware of the price of friendship with Azerbaijan.
Sophie Katsarava, expressed hope that this first official visit to Azerbaijan would continue and MPs would cooperate very fruitfully, both in international organizations and in a bilateral format.
She stressed that Georgia feels and appreciates the support of Azerbaijan, and Georgia and Azerbaijan are able to resolve all issues in an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation.
