Iraq since its liberation from the injustice and dictatorship of the former regime in 2003 works to consolidate its foreign relations with the countries of the world and stands on one level towards all countries in accordance with the principles of its foreign policy, which works to return Iraq to its political and leadership position among the countries of the world and because of what Iraq and the Iraqi people had suffered as a state of tragedies and disasters due to the raging wars by the former regime throughout his rule, which led to the imposition of a comprehensive siege on the Iraqi people for more than ten years by which its peaceful people tasted bitterness and deprivation of the minimum elements of life and rights, and accordingly, Iraq always supports the resolution of the dispute between countries by Peace and diplomatic means to reach peaceful solutions without exposing the people to disasters and tragedies caused by military means.
Therefore, Iraq supports the diplomatic efforts of Armenia and Azerbaijan to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict between them in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, whether it should have been done according to the United Nations resolutions or the decisions of the Minsk Group meetings complementing the UN resolutions.
