A conference titled “Address of future: President Ilham Aliyev’s strategy of reforms” kicked off in Baku.

Organized by the New Azerbaijan Party, the event brought together state and government officials, members of the parliament and the public.

Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov, adressing the event said that thanks to the economic reforms carried out by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s economy has become one of the fastest growing in the world.

“Azerbaijan has been able to prove its power to the world,” said Ahmadov.

He also noted that the prevention of economic regression in Azerbaijan in the last decade of the 20th century and ensuring the further development of the country was the result of a successful economic strategy of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Ahmadov said that Azerbaijan is on the threshold of new development.

The reforms carried out under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will give impetus to the country’s new development, he said.

A new concept of Azerbaijan’s reforms was prepared, and its implementation will make it possible for the country, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, to enter a new stage of economic development, said Ahmadov.

The event also saw speeches by Chairman of the Board of Directors of Financial Markets Supervisory Authority Rufat Aslanli, chairman of State Agency on Public Services and Social Innovations Inam Karimov.
