President Aliyev thanked Vladimir Putin for the congratulations and attention.
The presidents expressed confidence in the further expansion of friendly relations based on strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the issues related to further development of bilateral ties.
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev also made a phone call to Ilham Aliyev.
