Baku’s Heydar Aliyev Palace will welcome the event dedicated to beautiful gazelles of the prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, poet Aliaga Vahid.
Being the follower of literary tendencies of Fizuli, Aliaga Vahid was the bright representative of a genre — a gazelle in the Soviet literature. Vahid also was engaged in the translations into the Azerbaijani language of a gazelle in Nizami, Fizuli, Hagani and other classics of the Azerbaijani poetry. It is considered the founder of a modern genre of a gazelle — meykhana.
The event, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the poet, will be held on February 18 at 19:00. The concert program will include songs written on Aliaga Vahid’s gazelles.
The festive event will feature performances of Arif Babayev, Amin Yusifgizi, Aygun Bayramova, Melekhanym Eyyubova, Nazaket Teymurova, honored artists Gulustan Aliyeva, Nuriya Huseynova, Elnara Abdullayeva, Teyyub Aslanov, Sabukhi Ibayev, Babak Niftaliyev, Diamond Amanova, meykhana performers Agamirza, Mekhman Ahmedli and others.
