Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet to perform in Baku

The Heydar Aliyev Centre will host a concert of Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet on November 23.
The concert will feature performance of music parts by Mozart, Anton Reicha, Darius Milhaud and Carl Nielsen. The event is held as part of the Center`s project to support culture and promote world art in Azerbaijan.
Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet was founded in 1988. It is the first quintet that has been founded in the history of Berlin Philharmony.
Members of 25-year-old quintet include Michael Hasel (flute), Andreas Wittmann (oboe), Walter Seyfarth (clarinet), Fergus McWilliam (horn) and Marion Reinhard (bassoon).
Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet that has amazed the whole world with its performance has given concerts in Europe, Australia, Israel, the Far East and South America. In addition, the quintet has performed at festivals in Berlin, Edinburgh, Salzburg and at the Quintette-Biennale Marseille.
The Center, which opened in the Azerbaijani capital on May 10, 2012 on the 89th birthday anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, was established in December 2006.
The Center holds exhibitions and concerts with the purpose of supporting the development of culture and introducing world culture to Azerbaijan, and tries to expand the relations between countries and people through its projects.
Recently, the Center hosted Italian opera "Siberia", "Eternal Love" gala concert, and a jazz concert by Shahin Novrasli, who is a recognized Azerbaijani jazzman.
