Puppet Festival to spirit Baku audience in November

Baku will host the second international puppet theater festival "Cırtdan" on November 9 to 16.

The festival will fascinate audience at the Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators with several performances.

It will present performances of leading puppet theaters from several countries in different genres that are of interest to both children and adults.

The performances will also be presented at the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theatre and the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater which is named after Samad Vurgun.

It is organized and supported by the Azerbaijan Culture and Tourism Ministry and International Puppet Theaters Association (UNIMA).

Puppet theaters from the UK, Italy, and Switzerland will have performances on November 10, 11, and 13. Tickets are available at the city's box offices.

Simultaneously, the festival is expected to host master classes, which will be conducted by professionals from world-famous puppet theaters.

The first International Puppet Theater Festival was held in Baku in November of 2011 after which Azerbaijan became a member of the UNIMA.
