Dutch artist Klibansky amazed by Baku architecture

By Nazrin Gadimova

Joseph Klibansky, a young talented artist from Amsterdam, who was amazed with the dynamics of construction work and architecture of Baku, visited the Azerbaijani capital to see it firsthand.

"I have just arrived in a stunningly beautiful city of Baku," the artist wrote in a social network, which caused a real stir among art lovers.

During his brief stay in Baku Joseph got familiar with the old and new architectural masterpieces of the capital, including the famous Flame Towers and the pearl of Baku's architecture, Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, designed by Zaha Hadid.

The artist also visited the town-planning office of Baku White City project.

"The idea of building White City, which is contrasting in nature and embodiment, in the place of the famous Black City is simple like all brilliant ideas and that is fine," Joseph said. "Its implementation deserves admiration and respect and the project itself deserves the most attention from the world of architecture."

Klibansky was struck by the fact that the ultra-modern projects do not disrupt, but complement the architectural identity of Baku, so, the artist expressed his desire to display it in his future works.

According to Klibansky, he left Baku full of ideas and a craving for their materialization, as well as the utmost desire to come back again.

The artist's main points of art are architecture and the city, particularly the accelerated, compressed and densely populated urban environment of the 21st century.

The works of Klibansky usually consist of 300 to 600 different images, which produce a new, intriguing and dynamic world in combination. They are frequently surrealistic, contemporary and brightly colored. Large cities' forms are the recurrent theme in his creations and Klibansky composes his own dynamic versions of these urban landscapes. He uses a mixture of computer art, graphic techniques, painting techniques and digital imagery in his works.

Searching new experiences and inspiration, the young artist travels around the world. Such large cities as Singapore, New York, Paris and Dubai are the favorite theme in the works of Klibansky.
