Eurovision winner`s face insured at over $1.9m
Ateshgah Heyat has insured the face of Nigar Jamal, an Azerbaijani Eurovision winner, at 1.5 million manats (over $1.9 million), the company’s deputy board chairman has said.
"This type of insurance [for body parts] is used for the first time in Azerbaijan," Akbar Madatli told press on Wednesday.
Azerbaijani duo Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell/Nikki) with their pop-ballad "Running Scared" won the Eurovision contest this year in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Ateshgah Heyat provides services for term life insurance, endowment insurance, annuity insurance, critical illness insurance and compulsory disability insurance as a result of industrial accidents and occupational diseases. As of the end of 2010, Ateshgah Insurance Group, which includes Ateshgah Heyat, ranked third among Azerbaijan’s insurance companies.
