Aliyev orders to arrange Eurovision-2012 in Baku
BAKU – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order Thursday to conduct the Eurovision-2012 song contest in Azerbajian`s capital Baku.
The order envisages setting up an organizing committee chaired by UNESCO goodwill ambassador, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva to ensure that the Eurovision contest would be organized properly in May 2012.
The organizing committee was tasked with drawing up an action plan to organize the contest.
