A group of cultural and art workers have been awarded at the Ministry of Culture.

Honorary titles were awarded according to the relevant orders of President Ilham Aliyev, Trend Life reported.

Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev noted that the state pays great attention to culture, art and science. It was stressed that the national leader Heydar Aliyev always treated art and culture figures with great attention and care, and this policy is continued by President Ilham Aliyev. First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva plays a major role in preserving the national culture and its promotion throughout the world, Garayev said.

Abulfas Garayev congratulated the representatives of culture and art and wished them continued success in their activities.

Then the minister presented the "Shohrat Order" to the national artist Haji Ismayilov, the "Taraggi Medal" to the honored artist Yadigar Muradov and participants of the "What? Where? When?" game show Balakishi Gasimov and Elman Talibov. They expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the state’s assessment of their activities.
