Festival of Folk Songs wraps up [PHOTO]

The International Mugham Center hosted Festival of Folk Songs on October 8-12.
The main goal of the project is the promotion of national and spiritual values and their transmitting to future generations, Trend Life reported.
During the festival, Azerbaijani folk songs were presented in various interpretations - accompanied by a symphony orchestra, with jazz compositions, performed by the choir and ensemble
Within the framework of the project, a scientific symposium was held with the participation of researchers in the field of study of folk songs.
The concerts were attended by well-known folk singers and representatives of talented youth.
Addressing the festival's closing ceremony, director of Mədəniyyət TV, laureate of international competitions, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Ramil Gasimov expressed his gratitude to the participants of the Festival of Folk Songs.
Accompanied by the Symphonic orchestra of the Azerbaijan television and radio, Ramil Gasimov brilliantly performed folk songs. The orchestra was conducted by Honored Art Worker Nazim Gadjialibekov. His performance left no one indifferent.
The event organizers include Mədəniyyət TV, the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the International Mugham Center, the National Conservatory, the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic, Baku Academy of Music, Azerbaijan Composers Union and the Institute of Folklore.
