YARAT Contemporary Art Space has organized next edition of the annual children’s festival under a slogan ‘Let’s Unite’.
This year’s festival theme was inspired by ‘Suns and Neons above Kazakhstan’ exhibition featuring works by artists of mainly two generations.
All of the activities presented at the festival this year were designed to encourage participation of not only children but also their parents and grandparents. The event also marked the upcoming academic year.
The program of the festival feature Face-art – Sevimli Bala, Children’s yoga – The Art of Living, Painting workshop by Narmina Bagirova, Qafar Rzayev, Exclusive workshop by VIVA Dessert, Dance workshop by Ilham Osmanov Dance and Art Studio, Emin Useynov (NERO Dance Center), Recycle materials workshop by Zemfira Azimova, Dance performance by NERO Dance Crew, Open air "Yalli" Dance Workshop by Ilham Osmanov Dance and Art Studio and performance of "Yalli" dance at the Boulevard by Azerbaijan State Orchestra of National Instruments.
Both children and adults enjoyed the dazzling workshops.
YARAT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing an understanding of contemporary art in Azerbaijan and to creating a platform for Azerbaijani art, both nationally and internationally. Based in Baku, YARAT (meaning CREATE in Azerbaijani) was founded by Aida Mahmudova in 2011.
It realizes its mission through an on-going program of exhibitions, education events and festivals. YARAT facilitates exchange between local and international artistic networks including foundations, galleries and museums.
