SAY: Volunteering Festival wrapped up in Oghuz region of Azerbaijan, Trend Life reported.

The festival aimed at teaching skills, knowledge and experience needed for volunteer activities.

The project is implemented to honor the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Baku in 2017.

The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Sector for work with youth organizations under the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Social and Political Department Vusal Guliyev, sector chief of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Orkhan Arabov, president of " IRELI" organization Mirgazan Seyidov and Chairman of Oghuz region's department of Youth and Sports Ramiz Aliyev.

Speakers to the event told about successful volunteering in the country and stressed the importance of the project.

Following days featured workshops on team cooperation and effective communication skills.

The participants attended practical classes organized by Azerbaijan Orienteering Federation andAzerbaijan Shooting Federation.

The festival featured the meeting with Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev and Director of the Operating Committee of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Elchin Safarov, who listened the offers for developing the volunteer activity in the country and answered the questions.

The closing ceremony highlighted the project's importance, including activation of youth movement, team-working skills, self-expression and creativity.
