Azerbaijan, Ukraine to discuss trade and economic coop

Azerbaijan and Ukraine have a rich history of relations, Secretary
of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Andriy
Klyuyev who heads a visiting Ukrainian delegation said on June
5.
Klyuyev said Azerbaijan and Ukraine will discuss prospects of trade and economic relations.
"Our trade and political relations are developing efficiently and rapidly. Meetings are planned with the country's leadership during the visit to Azerbaijan. A wide range of issues of bilateral relations, and, above all, (those relating to) the trade and economic sphere will be discussed," Klyuyev said.
He also noted that the delegation is planning to meet with President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Rasizade to discuss economic and trade issues.
"The relations between our countries have deep historical roots. Currently more than 600,000 Azerbaijanis live in Ukraine," Klyuyev said.
Trade turnover between Ukraine and Azerbaijan amounted to $900 million in 2012.
