Foreign investment in Azerbaijan jumps
The volume of foreign investment in Azerbaijan's economy increased by 36.8 percent in January-June compared to the same period of the last year to hit $4.7 billion, Azerbaijan's national statistics body said on Thursday.
The country received 29.7 percent of investment as financial loans.
The volume of FDI has increased by 26.9 percent compared to the first half of 2011 to reach $2.2 billion.
