The management of Azerbaijani insurance company Pasa Sigorta has undergone changes. Ulviya Jabbarova has been appointed the new chair of the board, the company told Trend news agency last Friday.

Former CEO Nofel Rzayev has stepped down, but remains in the Pasa Holding group, which includes Pasa Sigorta.

The new board chair has been working in the insurance field since 2001 and has been with Pasa Sigorta since February 2008. Jabbarova held the position of underwriter coordinator of health and travel insurance; she was appointed manager of the medical and travel insurance in February 2009, and Director of the Department of Medical and Travel Insurance - in January 2010. During this period, Jabbarova successfully led the restructuring of medical assistance services of Pasa Sigorta and introduction of standards of quality control system in the Department of Medical and Travel Insurance.

Jabbarova was appointed manager of quality control for Pasa Holding in 2010 and deputy chair and head of the operating unit at Pasa Sigorta in March 2011 by the decision of Pasa Holding.

The company noted that currently the position of deputy chairman of the board is vacant.

Pasa Sigorta was registered on March 3, 2006. It provides services to corporate and individual clients on 30 types of insurance. The company's authorized capital amounts to 30 million manats (over $38,200). Pasa Sigorta is a leader in terms of the capitalization volume in the domestic insurance market.
