Nestle suspends sales over `supply problems`
Nestle, the world`s biggest food company, has suspended the export of all types of goods to Azerbaijan over ``supply problems``, the company told confectioneryNews.com website.
Marina Zibareva, the spokeswoman for Nestle Russia LLC, said Nestle ``has suspended supply of goods to Azerbaijan from January 1, 2012 due to some problems``, without giving details.
Zibareva said the products currently on sale will be enough for several months, but did not specify when the company will resume supplies.
``We are making every effort to deliver goods to Azerbaijan as soon as possible,`` she said.
Nestle does not operate a factory in the country and its goods are delivered to the domestic market by local distribution companies.
The company is experiencing problems with supply of its products only in Azerbaijan and continues to deliver goods to other CIS countries, Zibareva added.
