Argentina industry minister to visit Azerbaijan this year
BAKU – Argentina's Industry Minister Debora Giorgi is due to visit Azerbaijan with a delegation of businessmen this year, Giorgi said while hosting Azerbaijani customs committee chairman Aydin Aliyev, according to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
During his visit to Argentina, Aliyev met with Miguel Acevedo, interim president of Argentina Industrial Union, and head of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, Adelmo Gabbi, to discuss opportunities for the two organizations’ facilitating the expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Aliyev also had a meeting with Horacio Gonzalez, Director of National Library of Argentina, one of Latin America’s biggest libraries, and presented some books whose publication was arranged by Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
The committee chairman also met with Maria Ines, head of Argentina National Art Museum, a major art museum in Latin America. He presented to the museum some carpets woven by the skilful Garabagh and Shirvan carpet-makers.
During Aliyev’s visit paid last week, Azerbaijan and Argentina signed an agreement on customs cooperation.
