BAKU – Azerbaijan-Belarus trade turnover made up $130 million in January-October 2010, or 23.3 percent over the same period of last year, according to Belarusian Ambassador in Baku Nikolay Paskevich.

He told a press conference Thursday that Belarus primarily exports machines, pharmaceuticals, food, construction supplies, and domestic appliances to Azerbaijan. The South Caucasus republic exports petrochemicals, juices, tobacco and fabric to Belarus.

The ambassador said the two countries intend to increase the number of joint ventures and are in talks on joint manufacturing of combines.

Paskevich said a factory will be set up to pack Azerbaijani tea and a new shopping mall built in Belarus.
