Azerbaijan reports growth in number of taxpayers

As of February 1, 2025, the number of taxpayers in Azerbaijan has risen by over 5%, reaching 1,604,938, Azernews reports, citing the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy. The trend towards electronic registration continues, with 87.5% of commercial entities registering online, and 97.5% of locally invested limited liability companies registering electronically. The number of active VAT payers also increased by 15.3%, totaling 40,901 units, representing 32.2% of all registered entities. Most commercial entities (91.5%) were established as limited liability companies.
