Azerbaijan’s METAK company to place bonds worth 3M manats

On May 17, Azerbaijan’s METAK company will hold an auction on placement of bonds worth 3 million manats at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE), Trend reports with reference to the BSE.
The placement of the issue of 3,000 non-documentary registered interest bearing unsecured shares with a par value of 1,000 manats per security has been included into the listing in the standard market segment.
The maturity period of shares with yield of 10 percent per annum is set at 365 days. Interest payments on bonds will be made on a monthly basis.
The investment company Unicapital will be underwriter of the auction.
METAK company was established in 1997. The company has plants in Balakhani, Neftchala and Sumgait cities. The main products manufactured at the company’s plants are steel and plastic pipes, plastic boxes and containers, products for intensive gardening and agriculture.
In January-March 2019, the production of polyethylene pipes and hoses in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,552 tons, polypropylene pipes and hoses - 608.1 tons, plastic pipes - 188.6 tons, according to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
