Azerbaijan's processing center insures its cyber risks

Thousands of cyber attacks are carried out on the AzeriCard processing center every month, Deputy Director General of AzeriCard Zakir Akhmadov told reporters on Jan. 30, Trend reports.
In this regard, AzeriCard insured its risks by choosing two large insurance companies PASHA Insurance and Ateshgah Insurance.
Akhmadov noted that a UK company has been chosen for re-insurance.
"On average, thousands of cyber attacks per month are recorded. Moreover, the attacks are carried out both outside and inside the country," Akhmadov said.
Along with this, Akhmedov added that the company's financial status allows to cover all the losses in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Azericard is the first processing center in Azerbaijan, fully certified by international payment systems MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay and JCB. The center serves 21 banks (in total, there are 30 banks in the country).
