Azerbaijan's leading cellular provider Azercell has introduced another one-of-the-kind service.
The MobilBank service enables Azercell Telecom JV's users to save time and keep track of their bank accounts by receiving information about the status of the account, latest transactions, receivables and payables, and to pay their bills for phone usage and electricity via cellular phones 24 hours throughout the week.
MobilBank will cost 10 Gapiks (12 cents) for post-paid subscribers and 22 talk units for pre-paid ones.
The service is authorized via a PIN code, which is assigned by the customer. To use MobilBank, an Azercell customer needs to join the service first. The subscribers will be able to carry out transactions using bank card information via their mobile phones. Information about each transaction will be sent to the user's phone via SMS, which is to be provided by Azercell.
The MobilBank service covers all pre-paid and post-paid subscribers of Azercell holding cards of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA). The IBA cardholders may join MobilBank at the customer service offices of Azercell Telecom JV.
