A conference titled “Strategic energy and transport projects in the Southern Caucasus” was held in Argentina by Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI) and Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian Departments operating at the International Relations Institute at the La Plata National University, Azertac reported.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Argentina Rashad Aslanov highlighted the country`s independence history. He also stressed the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in regaining the stability in the country, as well as in protecting the independence and founding regional strategic projects. The diplomat provided an insight into Azerbaijan`s development gained under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Mr. Aslanov provided information about the cause and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The event saw speeches by the Georgian and Turkish diplomats.
