Baku 2015: Serbia wins gold in men's 50m pistol qualifications

Serbian Damir Mikec won the gold medal in the Men's 50m Pistol Qualifications as part of the first European Games in Baku.

He scored 192.2 points in the final.

Slovak Pavol Kopp, scoring 187.5 points won a silver medal, while Turkish Abdullah Omer Alimoglu (167.1 points) settled for bronze.

In total, eight athletes from Serbia, Ukraine, Turkey, Germany, Slovakia and Iceland advanced to the finals.

The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
