Azerbaijani trio in acrobatic gymnastics reaches finals
Azerbaijani female gymnasts have reached the dynamic finals of the team event in acrobatic gymnastics within the framework of the first European Games in Baku.
Leyla Huseynova, Narmina Ramazanova and Aynur Huseynova, representing Azerbaijan in acrobatic gymnastics, gained 27.140 points and took the sixth place in the qualification, which allowed them to compete for medals in this discipline.
Earlier, this Azerbaijan women's group in acrobatic gymnastics passed the balance qualifications to the finals of competitions in acrobatics with a score of 27.680 points within the framework of the first European Games.
Azerbaijani female athletes took the fifth place on the results of the qualifications.
The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28.
There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
