The leadership of Armenia continues to commit terrorist acts against the civilian population of Azerbaijan, grossly violating the norms and principles of international law, the Azerbaijani Prosecutor’s Office told Trend on Sept. 30.

The Armenian armed forces continue to intensively fire at the densely populated areas, regional and rural centers, civil infrastructure facilities, namely, residential buildings, hospitals, first-aid posts, schools, kindergartens, administrative buildings of state structures by using heavy artillery installations.

As a result of the Armenian armed forces’ artillery shelling near a filling station in Horadiz city in the Fuzuli district on September 30, 2020 at about 16:00 (GMT+4), thirty-year-old Murad Rustamov was killed. Three wounded people were hospitalized. The filling station was greatly damaged.

The Fuzuli District Prosecutor's Office filed a criminal case under Articles 120.2.1 (premeditated murder committed by a criminal organization or community), 120.2.4 (premeditated murder with special cruelty or through a dangerous method), 120.2.12 (premeditated murder on the basis of national, racial, religious hatred or enmity), 100.2 (unleashing an aggressive war) and other articles of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.

As a result of another shelling of the Armenian armed forces on September 30, 2020 at about 15:00 (GMT+4), an artillery shell hit the yard of a residential building belonging to Azerbaijani citizen Luda Ogorodnik. A warehouse in the yard was destroyed in Yenikand village of Tartar district.

At present, the employees of the prosecutor’s office are carrying out all possible investigative measures in combat conditions, as well as arrange the expertise to determine the severity of injuries of local residents and the amount of damage of the civilian infrastructure.

The Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office is taking the necessary measures to bring to account the Armenian servicemen within the international law who have committed various crimes against the Azerbaijani army and civilians.
