Uzbek president to visit South Korea

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to the Republic of Korea Nov. 22-25, 2017 at the invitation of President Moon Jae-in, the presidential press service reported.
During the high-level talks, it is planned to discuss a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, prospects for further development of interstate relations in the political, trade-economic, financial-investment, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, and exchange views on regional and international issues.
Mirziyoyev will also meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly and Prime Minister of Korea, visit the Uzbek-South Korean business forum with the participation of heads of leading economic and financial structures of the two countries.
The two presidents are expected to adopt a joint statement on the comprehensive deepening of the strategic partnership The sides also plan to sign a package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, commercial agreements and contracts providing for the strengthening and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
