Azerbaijani gas,new energy source for Europe

The Southern Gas Corridor and Azerbaijan’s role in European energy security was discussed in the New Mexico state of the U.S.
With the support of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, Richard Art McAfee, Honorary Consul of the state of New Mexico, made a speech in Santa Fe Council on Foreign Relations and the City of Petroleum Club (City Petroleum Club) on Azerbaijan’s role for Europe in terms of energy security, Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Los Angeles reported.
Art MacAfee spoke about the importance of energy projects of Shah Deniz-2, TAP and TANAP and noted the importance of these projects in Europe's energy security.
He also praised economic importance of these projects. Stressing the great role of BP and SOCAR companies in realization of the project he said that the investment in the amount of $45 billion was allocated to the project.
He emphasized that Azerbaijani gas will be a source of new energy to Europe and will have a positive influence on economic well-being of the countries of the corridor.
Art MacAfee also informed the participants about the aggressive policy of Armenia against Azerbaijan and answered the questions of the audience.
